4 Charged In Brooklyn Center Home Invasion
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Four men have been charged in connection to a Brooklyn Center home invasion earlier this week, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.
Donte Lavell Devers, 30, of Brooklyn Center, Demetrius Eugene Larson, 30, of Fridley, Deandre June Jr., 27, of Robbinsdale and Tommie Relando Norwood, 31, of Minneapolis were charged with kidnapping, burglary and two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery.
On Monday night, authorities say two men knocked on the door of a house on the 7000 block of Halifax Avenue North. When one of the residents opened the door, four men pushed their way in at gunpoint. One victim was hit on the right side of the face.
Meanwhile, a resident was able to slip into a bathroom and text his girlfriend, alerting her that a robbery was happening and to call police.
Police were then dispatched and surrounded the house. All four men were arrested and two handguns were found hidden in the house, the complaint said.
