3A: Rochester Lourdes 41, Holy Family Catholic 13
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Adam Lentz ran for 220 yards and three touchdowns to lead Rochester Lourdes to a 41-13 win over Holy Family Catholic in the state Class 3A championship Saturday.
Nic Jensen ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to help the Eagles (14-0) earn their second state title, and first since 1979.
Peter Vakulskas and Jeff Soule scored for Holy Family Catholic (13-1), which averaged 47.8 points in its five prior playoff games this season.
Jensen dashed 34 yards for a first-quarter touchdown and scored on a 40-yard run in the fourth. He finished with 110 yards on 11 carries.
Sam Slightam had a fumble recovery and interception for Rochester.
