3 Stabbed At Nightclub Overnight
MAPLEWOOD, Minn. (WCCO) -- Three people are recovering and two were arrested after being stabbed outside a Maplewood nightclub overnight.
The incident happened around closing time in the parking lot of the Energy Club near Rice Street and Larpenteur Avenue early Friday morning.
Police said they got a call that there was a fight at the club. They arrived and found two people with wounds from a box cutter. The two were taken to Regions Hospital.
Police later learned a third person was taken to St. John's Hospital with similar wounds.
Police said they arrested 21-year-old Kong Lee on suspicion of second-degree assault. Officers said they believe he was the one who had the box cutter and used it against the other three.
Another person was arrested for giving police a false identity.
Police said they are not yet sure what led up to the fight.
