$3 Million On The Way To Help With Northland Flooding Repairs
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Millions of dollars are on the way to help Minnesota recover from devastating flooding in the northland.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said $3 million in emergency funds will be made available immediately. The federal funds will be used to reimburse the state for repairs that were made to get traffic moving again after the June flooding.
The floods damaged dozens of roads and highways. The federal highway administrator says the funding represents a down payment on restoring transportation in the area.
