26-Year-Old North Branch Veteran Missing
FORT JACKSON, S.C. (WCCO) – A 26-year-old veteran and North Branch-native has been missing from his home near Fort Jackson, S.C. since October 7.
Sergeant Robert Larson is an Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He suffers from Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from injuries sustained in Iraq in 2005.
Larson is 6 feet 1 inches tall and approximately 190 pounds. He was last seen at a gas station in Gary, Indiana on Sunday, Oct. 8.
Besides Indiana, he could be heading to Illinois, Wisconsin or his home town of North Branch.
Larson's last purchase was for camping and outdoor equipment on Oct. 8.
He has had no contact with family or friends, and it's most likely that he is off of his brain injury medication - which may result in disorientation.
He was last seen driving his modified Jeep with Smittybilt XRC front and rear fenders, stickers placed on the windshield and an Autobahn pass on the back windshield.
The black Jeep has South Carolina Purple Heart plates with the number PH5752.
