235 Lbs. Of Pot Found In Semi Truck
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Eleven packages containing 235 pounds of marijuana were taken from a semi truck last week, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Troopers said the truck was transporting the marijuana along Interstate 35 in Steele County when it was pulled over.
A trooper stopped the semi when he saw smoke coming from a mud flap that was stuck under a tire.
According to the State Patrol, the driver's shipping papers didn't match up and a commercial vehicle inspector was called to the scene.
The truck was en route from California to North Carolina. The State Patrol said the driver claimed part of the truck's load was to be dropped off in St. Paul.
The driver of the truck was not identified.
