2 Teens Killed In Western Wisconsin Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in Wisconsin have identified two teens that were killed Monday afternoon when a car rear-ended a semi-truck on Interstate 94 just east of Hudson.
The Wisconsin State Patrol identified the victims as 17-year-old Joshua Jacob Goodrich and 16-year-old Jordan Michael Johnson, both of New Richmond, Wis. Authorities say Goodrich was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but Johnson was not.
Authorities say Goodrich and Johnson were riding in a 2000 Dodge Durango with two others when it rear-ended a semi-truck that was stopped in heavy traffic on eastbound Interstate 94 at about 1:20 p.m. Monday.
The driver of the Durango, a 17-year-old boy from New Richmond, Wis., suffered critical head, chest and extremity injuries. The fourth passenger in the car suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi-truck also was not hurt in the crash.
The Wisconsin State Patrol was assisted by the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office and several other agencies at the scene.
