2 Seriously Hurt In 2 Vehicle Crash In Brainerd
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – At least two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash just north of Brainerd Saturday night, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities responded to the accident at about 8:12 p.m. Saturday on County Road 49 near Ponds Edge Trail. When they arrived, the driver of one of the cars, 23-year-old Justin Don Dechon, and a passenger in his car, 23-year-old Jacob Steven Steininger of Brainerd, were both fund unresponsive at the scene.
They were both transported to a Brainerd hospital before being airlifted to North Memorial Hospital. The extent of their injuries and their condition are not known at this time.
The driver of the other vehicle involved, a 61-year-old woman, and a 5-year-old passenger, were treated for their injuries at a hospital in Brainerd.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Brainerd Police, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Brainerd Fire Department.
