2 Pedestrians Struck, Killed By Car On Highway 10
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people are dead after police say they crossed Highway 10 and were struck by two vehicles.
According to the State Patrol, the incident happened around 9:37 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 10 and Sunfish Lake Boulevard.
Authorities say the two people were struck and killed while crossing Highway 10, against a red light. They were pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown whether alcohol was detected in either of the pedestrians.
Police say the pedestrians were identified as 70-year-old Jean Nettelfield and 78-year-old John Nettelfield. They are related and are both from San Antonio, Texas.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash. Neither driver of the vehicles were injured. Police say one vehicle struck the pedestrians, and a second vehicle clipped one of the victims that had already been hit.
The crash remains under investigation.
