2 Men Sentenced In Madison Sexual Assault

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Two men convicted of abducting a 23-year-old Minneapolis woman and repeatedly sexually assaulting her last summer in Madison have been sentenced to 20 and 27 years in prison.

Dane County Judge Nicholas McNamara called the crimes horrific at the sentencing Friday and said it was every person's worst nightmare.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports 35-year-old Sergion Cazares-Herrera was sentenced to 27 years for first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping, strangulation and suffocation.

Thirty-five-year-old Odin Robledo-Hernandez was sentenced to 20 years for first-degree sexual assault and kidnapping.

The victim was forced into an apartment building basement Aug. 10.

She was choked and sexually assaulted by both men. They then took her to an apartment, where they again sexually and physically assaulted her.

Speaking through an interpreter, Robledo-Hernandez asked for forgiveness.
