2 Men Sentenced For 2009 Killing Near Duluth YMCA
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Two men have been sentenced to prison for the killing of a man in behind the YMCA in Duluth in 2009.
Twenty-six-year-old Isaac Louis Johnson and 22-year-old Antonio Sinclair Lewis were convicted of aiding and abetting each other in the unintentional second-degree murder of 34-year-old Albert George Morrison, of Duluth.
Sixth Judicial District Judge Shaun Floerke accepted a plea agreement Tuesday worked out between the St. Louis County Attorney's Office and public defenders. He sentenced Johnson to 14 years, one month in prison and Lewis to nine years, seven months. The defendants will get credit for 635 days already spent behind bars.
The Duluth News Tribune reports the three men fought in the downtown alley while drinking alcohol before Morrison died in July 2009.
