2 Die In Weather-Related Crash In Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — At least two people have died in a weather-related crash in Duluth and more snow is expected.
Police say a man and woman were killed when their van spun and slid sideways into an oncoming tow truck Friday afternoon.
Thirteen inches of snow fell in the Duluth Thursday and Friday, breaking records both days.
Steve Gohde, with the National Weather Service in Duluth, says so far this April is the fifth snowiest ever at nearly 20 inches.
The National Weather Service has issued a watch for much of northeastern Minnesota for a storm that will begin Sunday morning in central Minnesota and move northeast.
Snowfall totals for areas north of Duluth to the Canadian border are expected to be 8-10 inches. Duluth is expected to get about 6 inches.
