2 Die In 1-Vehicle Rollover In St. Louis County
VIRGINIA, Minn. (AP) — Two people have died in a one-vehicle rollover in St. Louis County of northeastern Minnesota.
The sheriff's department says the victims were the 55-year-old male driver from Hibbing and a 9-month-old infant boy. A 28-year-old female passenger was airlifted to St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth with non-life threatening injuries.
The 1998 Chevrolet Blazer was northbound on Highway 7 when it left the road, rolled over and landed in the ditch. Authorities say it appears the accident happened sometime overnight and was discovered by a nearby homeowner around 7 a.m. Sunday.
The victims' names were withheld pending notification of family.
It happened in McDavitt Township, which is south of Virginia.
