2 Die After Motorcycle Crash In Pine County
DULUTH, Minn. (WCCO/AP) -- Two people are dead after a motorcycle crash in eastern Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the motorcycle was north on Interstate 35 around noon Thursday in Pine County when the driver lost control and crashed.
The 57-year-old driver and his 47-year-old passenger were airlifted to hospitals in Duluth. The driver died at St. Luke's in Duluth, and his female passenger died at St. Mary's in Duluth.
Their identities have not been released pending notification of relatives.
It is still not clear whether alcohol was involved.
Here in Minnesota, as is the case across the country, the Fourth of July is one of the deadliest times of the year on the road.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported at least one deadly crash and a half-dozen others where people were hurt.
