WINONA, Minn. (WCCO/AP) -- Authorities have made a couple arrests in connection with a fatal shooting in Winona that took place over the weekend.
Police say 23-year-old Lonnie Lavonte Keymone Hudson was arrested in Wausau, Wisconsin Thursday night after a brief foot chase. He was wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder and other counts. Hudson is currently in custody at Marathon County Jail in Wausau, Wis.
Furthermore, an 18-year-old woman who investigators believe drove the getaway vehicle was arrested in Ettrick, Wisconsin and is jailed in Trempealeau County.
Winona Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams says authorities continue to look for two other men believe to have been involved in the death of 31-year-old Adam Tylor Fort. Police found him just after 1 p.m. Sunday with a gunshot wound to the torso. Medical personnel provided care at the scene, but Fort was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Williams says a handgun was recovered at an apartment in La Crosse, Wisconsin that was possibly used in the shooting.
Investigators believe robbery motivated the shooting last Sunday.
