2 Arrested, 1 Injured In Stearns County Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 33-year-old man is in the hospital and two people have been arrested after a shooting in St. Augusta, Minn. late Wednesday morning, according to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
At around 11:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 23600 block of 69th Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. Once there, deputies determined that the victim had been shot at least once and was in need of medical attention.
The victim was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses at the scene provided a description of the suspects and suspect vehicle, which deputies located a short time later in St. Joseph Township. Two male suspects were then taken into custody, authorities said.
The Sheriff's Office says information obtained indicates that robbery was the motive and an ensuing struggle occurred where the firearm was discharged.
