15 Years Of Music Stolen From Minn. Jazz Musician's Car
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) -- A local jazz musician is playing the blues after 15 years' worth of his music was stolen from his car.
"Music, it's intangible, it's not something I can get back," says Jazz Saxophone player, Jason Weismann.
Weismann says it happened after a gig last Wednesday.
He had just dropped off his keyboardist and when he came back to his car, the back passenger window was smashed.
In the backseat, there used to be a bag full of hand written music. The thieves grabbed it and took off.
"It's heartbreaking," said Weismann, "It's all the good things that's happened, all the bad things it's the joys the sorrows."
The theft happened at the Lexington Apartments in Roseville. They're located less than a half mile from the police station, which is why Weismann now wants everyone to take note of his error in judgment.
"I will never make the mistake of leaving things, even things i don't think other people will value in the car, because you don't know what knuckle head is out there," said Weismann.
Weismann says an iPad was also taken, but he doesn't care about that because it can be replaced.
Now, he wants people to be on the lookout for a burgundy bag with the music inside. He doesn't think the thieves would hold on to something without immediate value.
