12 Months, 12 Pairs Of Tickets: US Bank Stadium Officials Announce Giveaway
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The U.S. Bank Stadium is 12 months away from completion. To mark the milestone, stadium officials announced a special giveaway.
Twelve pairs of tickets will be given out for the first concert at the new stadium. There is still some mystery surrounding the prize package because officials are being tightlipped about the name of the artist and the exact date of the show.
Patrick Talty, new general manager of venue management firm SMG, said he wants everyone to get excited about the show and people from all music genres to enter to win the tickets.
Registration is easy. Entrants are only required to enter their name, phone number, address and date of birth. The deadline to enter the giveaway is Aug. 6. Winners will be announced on social media through Twitter and Facebook the week of Aug. 3.
The new stadium, which is now 65 percent complete, is equipped to handle a range of events including concerts, corporate events, banquets and a wide array of sporting events.
The seating will be installed in August. The largest crane on the site will be dismantled in August. In November, the roof will be complete and the building will open in the summer of 2016.
