100-Year-Old Fiddler Gets A Birthday Surprise
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- What do you give a 100-year-old man for his birthday? If the birthday boy is Lloyd Johnson of Woodbury, a big surprise will do the trick.
Lloyd has been an amateur musician for most of his long life, and nine years ago saw well-known fiddler Peter Ostroushko in concert. Lloyd said he would sure like to play with that guy.
On Wednesday, at Lloyd's 100th birthday party, Peter showed up to make that wish come true.
Lloyd is a World War II veteran and lives in a senior home with his 92-year-old wife. She plays the piano, and is just as healthy as her husband.
