1 Injured After Bus Hits Car In Fridley
FRIDLEY, Minn. (WCCO) – There were reports of minor injuries after a school bus collided with a car Tuesday afternoon in the north metro, according to police.
Authorities said the accident happened shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of 61st Avenue and Starlight Boulevard in Fridley. Police said the school bus was carrying about 50 students when it was traveling south on Starlight Boulevard and turning onto 61st. The vehicle was on 61st and turning to go north on Starlight Boulevard.
Police said the front end of the bus clipped the front end of the vehicle. One student aboard the bus suffered a bloody nose, and another bus came to pick up the students and finish their route. Two people inside the vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
