1 Dead After Motorcycle Accident In Burnsville
BURNSVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) -- A Lakeville man is dead after he veered off the road on his motorcycle Monday night.
Melvin Schermann, 51, was riding his motorcycle in the right lane, headed south on Interstate 35W in Burnsville around 8 p.m. when the motorcycle went off the road, striking a guard rail.
Schermann was thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Schermann was transferred to Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville where he was pronounced dead.
The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
