1 Dead After Car Hits Semi Head-On In Southern MN
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person was killed Wednesday after a car hit a semi-truck head-on in southern Minnesota, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities said the incident happened at about 10:15 a.m. on Highway 13 north of the town of Manchester, which is just north and west of Albert Lea. Heavy fog in the area, which was a problem throughout Minnesota on Wednesday, may have had a role in the crash, according to the State Patrol.

Authorities said the victim's name is expected to be released Thursday morning. The driver of the semi-truck, a 41-year-old man from Kasson, was not hurt in the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash is still under investigation at this time. The Freeborn County Sheriff's Office is assisting with the investigation.
