1 Dead After Car Flips, Submerges In Swamp
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Isanti County Sheriff's Office says a man died after his car was found upside down in a swamp Friday.
At 12:02 a.m., Sheriff's Office deputies responded to County Road 5 and Zuni Street and discovered the car in the swamp with the male victim trapped inside.
After Isanti Fire crews pulled the vehicle from the water, the victim was airlifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died.
On Monday, the victim was identified as 44-year-old Michael Blackledge of Princeton.
The accident remains under investigation.
