1 Dead After Accident On I-394
MINNETONKA, Minn. (WCCO) – One person is dead after an accident Tuesday morning on Interstate 394, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities said at about 8:54 a.m. Tuesday a vehicle was headed eastbound on 394 near Hopkins Crossroad in Minnetonka when it went into a nearby pond.
Police said the driver got out of the vehicle and was suffering from some type of medical condition. The driver declined an ambulance, then became unresponsive.
A state trooper reporting to the scene attempted CPR on the victim, but the driver died.
The state patrol said it does not appear that the death was related to the crash, but rather a result of the medical condition.
