1 Dead, 3 Injured In Wis. Stabbing
HAYWARD, Wis. (WCCO) – One person died and at least three others were injured after a stabbing Friday morning in Hayward, Wis.
The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office received a report of a stabbing at about 4:30 a.m. Minutes later, the same office received a call about seven miles away of a young male with a head injury needing an ambulance.
A third call came in a few minutes later, with the caller saying her son had been stabbed.
After authorities responded to all three calls, they learned that there had been a party the night before at a residence on Bacon Square, the location of the first 9-1-1 call.
A fight broke out early Friday morning, and four individuals had been either stabbed our hit with a blunt object, police say. One person was pronounced dead at the Bacon Square scene. A second individual from that scene was taken to the hospital. The two other individuals who were stabbed were also taken to area hospitals.
Police have two suspects in custody at this time. The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office said the incident remains under investigation.
