Donating airline miles is one simple way you can help grant a Make-A-Wish experience to a child with a critical illness. That's why WCCO-TV and Make-A-Wish Minnesota are teaming up for our 6th Annual Wishes in Flight Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Over the past five years, WCCO viewers have donated over 55 million airlines to Make-A-Wish Minnesota.
Did you know?
- • 75 million airline miles are needed to grant Minnesota travel wishes annually.
- • Currently, 117 kids are waiting for their travel wishes to be scheduled.
- • 75% of wishes granted for Minnesota kids involve air travel.
- • Donated miles never expire for Make-A-Wish.
To help grant a life-changing wish experience, WCCO viewers can donate airlines miles now through Wednesday, October 11 by donating HERE.
Make-A-Wish Minnesota can accept donations from the following airlines (* denotes greatest need):
- • Delta Air Lines*
- • United Airlines*
- • American Airlines
- • Southwest Airlines
When donating, you will need to have your mileage account number ready. If you do not know your account number, you can call your airline to find out.
If you don't know how many miles you have, that's okay. You can simply enter the amount you would like to donate - or call the airline to find out your account balance.
Having issues donating online or prefer to donate over the phone? Call the Make-A-Wish Minnesota office at 612-767-9474. If someone does not immediately answer, leave a message and they will return your call within 24 hours.
Every mile donated helps wish kids and their families travel to destinations. Thank you for your generosity and for helping wishes take flight!
