Woods Ready To Return To Golf
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Tiger Woods has lost almost everything in the last 18 months, most recently firing his caddie, Steve Williams. But Woods is about to get back to work next week at the Bridgestone Invitational.
After missing two majors in the 11-week break to deal with several injuries, Woods is finally ready to hit the links again.
"Feeling fit and ready to tee it up at Firestone next week. Excited to get back out there!" Woods tweeted.
Woods has dropped to number 133 in the FedEx Cup standings after routinely being in the top five for years. He's also been on the third longest layoff of his career and has gone more than 20 months without winning a tournament.
Woods has hired Byron Bell, a childhood friend and president of Tiger Woods Design, would caddie for him at the Bridgestone Invitational.
