Robbery Led To Woman's Death In Weston
WESTON (CBSMiami) — A South Florida woman died after she hit her head during a robbery at Jamaican Night in Weston.
Surveillance video at a truck stop along US Hwy 27 showed a group of people gathered in the parking lot when one person sprayed the crowd with pepper spray. As the crowd quickly left, another suspect grabbed 28-year old Kimberlyn Clarke's gold chain.
Broward Sheriff's officials say that during the commotion, Clarke was overcome by the pepper spray, fell and hit her head on the rear bumper of a van
She was then transported to the hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead on Saturday.
Detectives are asking for help in identifying the suspect captured on the surveillance video.
