Woman Critically Injured In NW Dade Shooting
MIAMI (CBS4) – A northwest Miami-Dade woman was rushed to the hospital after someone fired a gun into her home while she slept.
The shooting happened early Tuesday morning on 32nd Avenue near 59th Street. Miami-Dade police spokesman Javier Baez said a person with a high-powered rifle opened fire on the home where nine people were sleeping inside. Annie Wimberly, 69, was hit. She was rushed to the hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
The five other adults and three children who were also in the home were not injured.
Police have not given a description of the shooter or said what may have motivated it.||
