Woman Charged In Toddler Hit And Run
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A forty-six year old woman who allegedly struck a toddler with her car in Ft. Lauderdale and fled the scene has been taken into custody.
Lisa Gail Quiggins was behind the wheel of a red Volkswagen Beetle on Friday, when the child reportedly ran out in front of her on 18th Avenue near 52nd street.
After Quiggins hit the toddler, she drove off, according to police.
The toddler is in serious condition at Broward Health Medical Center.
Quiggins is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving serious injury.
