Determined Dorian
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Just when you thought Tropical Storm Dorian was done, the tenacious little system is determined to make a comeback.
The storm was downgraded to a remnant low as dry air really did a number on the thunderstorm development.
Sunday, a hurricane reconnaissance aircraft was sent to check the remnants of the storm which appeared to look more organized. However, the system has not been able to once again reach Tropical Storm status.
The system is located a few hundred miles north and northeast of the Leeward Islands and has been given a 50 percent chance of redevelopment by the National Hurricane Center.
Currently, the remnants are moving west northwest at 15 to 20 mph and forecast to move north of the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico, Sunday and Monday.
Then the remnants will move over the Turks and Caicos Islands and Southern Bahamas, Tuesday.
