What's Open/Closed On July 4th
Lots of people are planning to hit the beach or go to a barbecue to celebrate the Fourth of July. But just in case you were planning on stopping by the bank or library, forget about it, they're closed.
Here is a list of what else will be closed on the Fourth of July in Miami-Dade and Broward.
• Federal offices: Closed.
• County offices: Closed.
• County courts: Closed.
• Public schools: Closed.
• Garbage collection: Regular schedule in most cities. Check your service provider for details.
• Stock markets: Closed.
• Post offices: Closed (only Express Mail will be delivered).
• County transit: Sunday/holiday schedule.
• Tri-Rail: Weekend schedule.
• Public libraries: Closed.
• Banks: Most are closed (check with your branch).
TD Bank: Open 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For those who plan to spend the day indoors, good news - the malls will be open.
MIAMI-DADE
Malls will open as follows:
Aventura Mall, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.;
Coral Ridge 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Coral Square Mall, 10 a.m. -6 p.m.
Dadeland Mall, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.;
BROWARD
Malls will open as follows:
The Galleria, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Lauderhill Mall, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Pembroke Lakes Mall, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Sawgrass Mills, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Shops at Pembroke Gardens, 10 a.m. -6 p.m.
Also in Broward County, Animal Care and Adoption will be open for pet adoptions only. In the event of an animal attack or bite, call 911.
