Wanted: Sneaky Crook Who Snuck Cash Down His Pants
DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a couple of bold crooks who ripped off a small market and deli and they were caught on surveillance video.
BSO investigators released the video of the suspects inside the Second Avenue Market & Deli located at 111 SE 2nd Avenue in Deerfield Beach.
According to investigators, it was about 1:00 p.m. Monday December 12th when the crime took place.
Two men can be seen on the video wandering around the store separately while it was filled with customers.
One man, who appears to be in his 50s, wearing blue jeans, a white, button-down shirt and a dark baseball cap could be seen walking down a short hallway. He then pried open an office door where he stuffed a bank bag containing cash in the front of his pants.
The second man was wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt and blue jeans and simply walked around the store occasionally talking on a cell phone.
Once the man in the white shirt grabbed the cash, both men simply walked calmly out of the front door.
Anyone who can identify these thieves is asked to call BSO Det. Scott Nida at (954) 480-4316 or anonymously report information to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
