Wanted: Bell Ringers For The Salvation Army
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The Salvation Army of Broward County is seeking bell ringers for its upcoming Red Kettle Campaign during a job fair being held Friday, November 4th.
The Salvation Army Fellowship Center at 100 SW 9th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale is hosting the job fair from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
They are looking to hire 100 energetic and outgoing, seasonal employees to help with fundraising efforts through its annual bell ringing campaign.
Positions start at $8.00 per hour and transportation is provided from the Salvation Army administration building to the various bell-ringing locations.
Applicants must be able to work Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning November 19 through December 24.
If you happen to miss Friday's Bell Ringer Job Fair, there's another one scheduled for Tuesday, November 8th at Plymouth Colony located at 1960 Sherman Street in Hollywood from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
According to the Salvation Army, each year, thousands of Salvation Army Red Kettles serve as collection stations around the world beginning in November, and continuing through Christmas Eve. Donations to the Red Kettles stay local, supporting programs in the communities in which they were received.
