Wake Has Mild MCL Sprain
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you felt a big gust of wind from the Davie area Monday, it wasn't from a thunderstorm, but rather a big sigh from the Miami Dolphins team facility.
The team learned Monday that Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake has a mild medial collateral ligament sprain instead of something much worse. Wake injured his knee during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Wake spent most of the game during the Dolphins' win over Atlanta on the sideline because of the knee injury.
Wake has pulled down 2.5 sacks, which is tops on the team. Without Wake's presence on the field Sunday, the Dolphins weren't able to record a single sack.
If Wake is out on Sunday against the Saints, it will likely result in much more playing time for rookie Dion Jordan.
