Wade Returns To Practice With Heat
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat got some good news Friday as the team continued preparing for the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Heat superstar Dwyane Wade returned to practice Friday and said he was encouraged about how his troubled right knee felt. Wade took part in a rigorous practice Friday and said the injury is something he has to play through.
The practice was the first significant action for Wade since last week. The All-Star guard has been playing through bone bruises around his right kneecap for the last month. He missed the Heat's final game against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs.
Miami will have been off for more than a week after sweeping the Bucks with the series ending last Sunday. The first game of the second round will be Monday at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
But Miami still doesn't know who it will play in the second round. The Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets are tied in their first-round matchup with the winner heading to Miami to face the Heat.
