Wade & Oden Not Expected To Play Friday Night
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said Friday that Dwyane Wade and Greg Oden are both not expected to play against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
If Wade misses the Timberwolves game, it will be the 24th time this season he's been out of the starting lineup. The Heat have won the last 11 of 12 without Wade in the lineup.
Spoelstra has used James Jones, Udonis Haslem, and Rashard Lewis in recent weeks to fill the holes left by Wade, Oden, and Ray Allen, who has battled the flu.
Allen will be a game-time decision against the Timberwolves Friday.
While the Heat can continue to get away with leaving Wade on the bench in the regular season, at some point the team will have to get Wade and the rest of the starters together on the court heading into the playoffs in a few weeks.
