Wade Likely To Play In Game 2

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade missed practice on Sunday due to a migraine. But late Monday morning he got some light work in at the team's facility and is expected to play in Game 2 against the Philadelphia 76ers Monday night.

"He is feeling better," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "He was wearing the shades. Guys were calling him 'Blade.'  He's feeling significantly better from yesterday."

Wade has battled migraines his entire life. He missed one game earlier this season due to the headaches. He was fitted with goggles that help reduce the glare of the bright lights in the arena.

In Monday morning's shoot-a-round, Wade was using the protective goggles and he may end up using them in Game 2 against the 76ers.

"Very encouraging," Heat forward LeBron James said after seeing Wade Monday. "We want to be as close to full strength as possible.

Ironically, the fact that the arena is completely outfitted in white for the playoffs will only make it brighter inside the arena.

Wade battled through a headache Saturday and was in foul trouble through parts of game. Still, when the Heat needed him to hit the big shots, he came through.

Wade scored 17 points, but five of them came in the last 90 seconds of the game to help Miami get the win.

"He's as tough of a guy I've ever seen playing through sprains, bumps, bruises, hip checks, all of these things," Spoelstra said.
