Wade Likely For Hawks Game
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – While much of the attention from the Miami Heat's blowout victory over the New Jersey Nets was rightly on the return of Chris Bosh; there was a moment in the second quarter that scared Heat fans everywhere.
Heat guard Dwyane Wade turned his right ankle late in the first half and didn't return to the game, not that he was needed. Wade finished the game with 13 points in the 30 point victory over the Nets.
Wade didn't seem to be phased by the ankle injury or missing the second half of the game.
"Not worried at all," Wade said.
Reports from the AmericanAirlines Arena said Wade is likely to play in Wednesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Still, given that Wade missed six games earlier this season after spraining the same ankle; it gave Heat fans plenty of reason to be nervous when Wade tweaked his ankle against the Nets.
Miami's victory pulled the Heat within two games of Eastern Conference leading Chicago Bulls. The Heat is starting to keep an eye on the standings to see who they may match up against in the playoffs.
Whoever it is, the seven or eight seeds in the Eastern Conference are likely headed for a quick exit from the playoffs when they play against the Bulls or Heat this year.
