MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat organization has always been a tight-knit family, and players will often remain close after they've moved on to different teams.

The two longest tenured Heat players, Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem, were rookies with the team when Lamar Odom also played in Miami during the 2003 season.

Odom is currently in a Las Vegas hospital after being found unresponsive in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday.

Odom, 35, was an above-average player during his days in the NBA and won back-to-back championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010.

He's also known for his marriage to Khloe Kardashian, which was featured on the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The couple also starred in their own reality TV show called Khloe and Lamar.  Kardashian filed divorce papers in December of 2013 but they didn't get finalized until earlier this year.

After the news of Odom's hospitalization broke, Wade, Haslem and the Heat took to social media to show support for their friend.

The Heat family weren't the only ones sending thoughts and prayers to Odom. Several well-known NBA stars also sent out love to the former champion.

Dennis Hof, who owns the Love Ranch brothel, said that Odom was taking "herbal Viagra" and that "he was taking a lot of it."

No illegal drugs were found in Odom's room.

He was first treated at the Desert View Hospital which is in Pahrump, a town near the brothel. Odom was later transported by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, about 60 miles from Pahrump.

Arrangements were initially made to transport Odom in a helicopter but he was too tall to fit inside of it.

Khloe Kardashian was at Odom's bedside in the hospital on Tuesday night and was joined by Kobe Bryant, Odom's former teammate with the Lakers.

Also seen at the hospital were Kim Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner.

According to TMZ, as of Wednesday morning Odom is still in a coma and his heart is failing.
