Wade, 3 Others Out Again For Heat Against Bucks
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Heat star Dwyane Wade missed his second straight game with a sore left hamstring.
Wade sat out Miami's game Saturday night against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center, where he played in college for Marquette.
Miami also was without Mario Chalmers, Ray Allen and Greg Oden. The quartet also missed Friday night's game against Detroit — though it mattered little after LeBron James notched a triple-double in leading the Heat to a 110-78 victory.
Wade has played in 51 of 72 games this season, having missed action for ailments including a sore knee, a sore ankle and back spasms.
Wade has said this hamstring injury isn't as serious as one he had in the past.
Allen has a stomach virus, while Oden was bothered by back spasms. Chalmers has a bruised quad.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said the four players were getting better and would be re-evaluated back in Miami. When asked, Spoelstra said he wasn't resting players to get ready for the postseason.
"I think people think that we're overanalyzing it, that we have a grand master plan," he said. "Guys that are able to play right now are playing, period."
The Bucks are short on players, too. O.J. Mayo has been out since spraining his right ankle Monday against the Clippers. Giannis Antetokounmpo was initially ruled out after spraining his right ankle on Thursday against the Lakers, then was a last-minute addition to the active list.
