VIDEO: Florida Man Trashes Convenience Store, Beats Up Clerk For Denying Him Cigarettes

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – Hollywood police are searching for a man, who vandalized a gas station before attacking the clerk.

Two men were trying to buy cigarettes at the Chevron Gas Station located at 2730 Sheridan Street around 9:45 p.m. on August 1.

"I just told them to go down the street there's another store down the street," said Lawrence Marable, the clerk that night.

When Marable refused to sell it to them, because the men were cursing at him, one of them began trashing the store, causing more than $1,000 in damage.

After his lengthy rampage, all caught on video, he simply walked out.

Marable then went to the door to attempt to get a license plate, something he said he regrets doing, because the suspect spotted him and forced his way back inside and started punching him.

"I thought he was crazy," said Marable. "It seemed like it lasted forever."

According to Marable, it took about an hour to clean the place up and survey the damage.
