Victims In West Palm Beach Plane Crash Named
The four victims killed after the twin-engine plane they were riding in crashed while taking off from Palm Beach International Airport Thursday night have been identified.
Kristopher Joy Henegar, 22, of Memphis, Tenn. was due to graduate from Florida Institute of Technology in aeronautics in December; Dheni "Jenny" Teresa Frembling, 26, was a Florida Tech flight instructor and alumna of the class of 2006; Jordyn Leigh Agostini, 21, of Broomall, Penn. was due to graduate in aeronautics in December; and Kyle Henegar, 26, of Palm Bay was Kristopher's brother and a passenger on the flight and a FIT alumnus, class of 2008.
The Federal Aviation Administration is still trying to figure out what caused the twin-engine Piper Seminole aircraft to crash and catch fire during takeoff during a flight school training exercise.
Records show the plane was owned by Melbourne flight school FIT Aviation LLC.
The plane was heading back to Melbourne from the Bahamas during a training exercise. Officials say the crew had just cleared customs and refueled when the accident happened.
A candlelight vigil will be held the school tonight to honor the victims. All College of Aeronautics classes were canceled Friday, but all other classes were in session.
