Valentine Sweethearts Take The Plunge On Dania Beach Coaster

DANIA BEACH (CBS4) -- A giant pink hummer limousine on Valentine's Day can only mean one thing, a wedding. But this was no ordinary wedding in Dania Beach Monday. The bride and groom exchanged their vows while riding South Florida's only wooden rollercoaster. Talk about taking the plunge.

Richie Kearns and Sherry Blais, from Fort Myers, tied the knot Monday in front of their families on the Dania Beach Hurricane Rollercoaster, which stopped on top of the lift hill during the ceremony.

Before exchanging their vows, the Valentine sweethearts arrived in a bright pink stretch hummer limousine. Upon their arrival, they walked a red carpet into the amusement park which was all decked out for the celebration with plenty of balloons and white tulle draping the walkways.

There was even a balloon arch at the beginning of the ride for the newlyweds to ride under as they pulled out of the station. Underneath was a sign that read, "Tunnel of Love."

After their quick stop on top of the lift hill, it was full speed ahead. At times, the bride forced to hold on to her veil so it wouldn't fly off in the wind. Once the ride was over, the bride and groom finally kissed as man and wife.

The bride was wearing a short white dress with red high heels and a matching red belt. She was accompanied by a couple of bridesmaids.

We hope their marriage doesn't have as many ups and downs as the rollercoaster.
