UM Set To Face New #1 Duke On Wednesday
CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – When the University of Miami Hurricanes welcome in the Duke Blue Devils to the Bank United Center Wednesday night; they will be seeing the new number one team in the country.
The Blue Devils ascended back into the top spot after being ranked number three last week. Duke benefited from Louisville and Indiana, ranked number one and two last week losing.
Duke received a total of 39 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel.
But the Blue Devils now have to travel to Coral Gables to face a Hurricanes team that is ranked 25th in the country and looking to upset number one Wednesday night.
The Hurricanes have been pushing what they call "Operation: Sellout" ahead of the Duke game, trying to get the game against the Blue Devils sold out.
As of Monday afternoon at 1 p.m., there were just 128 tickets remaining to the game.
