UM Announces Tailgating Times For First 2 Games
CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – Only in Miami can you party on the beach all night long and then head straight to Sun Life Stadium to start tailgating. Well, at least for one game this year.
The University of Miami released the tailgating times for the first two home games of the season, including the much-anticipated game against SEC power the Florida Gators.
UM will play FAU for the first game of the season on August 30 and the RV lot will open at 2 p.m. followed by the green lot at 3 p.m. After another hour, the Blue, Orange, Maroon, and Purple lots will open to tailgaters with stadium gates opening at 6:30 p.m.
The FAU vs. UM game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. kickoff and if you can't get to Sun Life Stadium, the game can also be seen on ESPNU.
For UM's game against Florida, RV and Green lots will open bright and early at 5 a.m. The Blue, Orange, Maroon, and Purple lots will open at 6 a.m. The stadium gates will remain closed until 10 a.m. for the game against UF.
The UF vs. UM game has a kickoff time set for noon on September 7. If you can't get a ticket to the Gators game, you can also see the game on ESPN.
In case you were wondering, Florida is an early six-point favorite over the Canes.
