Suspect In Custody In Miami Lakes Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Authorities have taken a man into custody after two women were shot right after arriving at work Tuesday morning in Miami Lakes.
The shooting happened at 150th Street and NW 79th Court.
Tahkyshia Ross, 21, and Veronica Moss, 54, who carpool to work, had just arrived in the parking lot when a man drove up and Ford Mustang and shot at them through the window. Ross was shot twice, Moss once, both in the lower extremities.
Police confirm that a man, 26-year old Andrew Seabrooks, was taken into custody in connection to the shooting. Seabrooks reportedly tried to escape the area in a car but ended up crashing into a tree when an officer tried to pull him over. He allegedly has an extensive criminal history.
Police have not said what led to the shooting.
As of noon, the two women were in surgery and expected to survive.
