Two Women Hospitalized After Grove Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Two women were hospitalized after a shooting in Coconut Grove Tuesday night.
Lala Ivey says she heard the gunshots.
She quickly learned that two of her friends were wounded at 3589 Thomas Avenue in Coconut Grove.
"I heard gunshots and I came down here and I found out that two of my friends were hit. Ms. Sissy was shot two times and young Raisha was hit one time," said Ivey.
One of her friends named Ms. Sissy is 63 years old. The other is 27.
Ms. Sissy's daughter told CBS4's Peter D'Oench that Sissy was actually struck six times by bullets.
"They were shot on Thomas Avenue," said Ivey. "Ms. Sissy was shot in her car. She was just sitting in her car and minding our own business and Raisha got shot while walking towards our house near the store where she was hit. They were innocent bystanders always. It is totally crazy."
Both victims were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Now their friend has questions.
"We still don't know what is going on. Somebody know something," said Ivey. "I know somebody know something if I knew I would tell someone. This is ridiculous. We are all friends for life we don't know what the hell it's going on right here. I am very nervous, very nervous. It's a shame. It's depressing. The kids grow up here. It is sad. I don't know who it is or what is going on."
The daughter of the 63-year-old victim says her mother is not doing well.
Miami police have not released the full names of the victims yet.
Family members said the 27 year-old victim had been released from the hospital and was recovering at home but did not want to comment.
It's not known what the motive was for the shooting and if police have any suspects.
