Suspects Sought In Redland Shooting, Nearby Schools on Lockdown
REDLAND (CBS4) – Police are searching for up to three men in a light blue Dodge van believed to have been involved in a shooting Friday morning that has left at least one person dead.
The blue van may be missing a door, according to Miami-Dade spokesman Det. Javier Baez. Baez said the suspects in the light blue Dodge van are considered armed and dangerous.
Two schools are on lockdown as police respond to the shooting at 157th Avenue and Street and 248 Street where the body of one man remains in a white van, another man has been treated for pistol whipping and is being questioned off-scene, police say.
The shooting happened shortly after 9 a.m. Friday, according to Miami-Dade Police spokesman Det. Robert Williams.
Both Redland Middle School and elementary have been locked down as a precaution while the investigation is underway.
