Two Men Under Investigation For Ninja Robberies
MIAMI (CBS4) – Two men believed to be connected to a number of "ninja" robberies across South Florida have been taken into custody.
It happened Friday night during a joint investigation between the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), North Miami Beach Police and Aventura Police who were looking into a series of robberies throughout Miami-Dade and Broward.
The two men reportedly robbed a convenience store in Dania Beach and were followed by police to Hollywood. When law enforcement moved in to make an arrest, an officer shot one of the suspects.
The man is now in the hospital in stable condition, with non life-threatening injuries.
Sources tell CBS4 NEWS that the Joint Law Enforcement Task Force is investigating whether the two men are linked to the "ninja" robberies which happened back in May and August.
The "ninja" robber is described to be armed and dressed like a ninja, according to police. The "ninja" is wanted in connection with nearly a dozen robberies across South Florida.
So far, the "ninja" robber hasn't hurt any victims but the FBI is offering a five thousand dollar reward for information leading to his arrest.
